Review requirements specifications to ensure that requirements stated are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable
Define test methods and create test plans for new or updated software to determine if the software will perform accurately and reliably according to documented requirements as well as established standards under both normal and abnormal conditions
Define, evaluate, and maintain test plans of various scopes appropriate for unit, functional, and baseline regression testing for software application
Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
Recommend design improvements or corrections to the Development team throughout the development process
Assist with execution of test phases for implementation projects, working collaboratively with the Implementation team to develop test plans to ensure thorough coverage for each project deployment
Create and maintain technical documentation for new features and system enhancements for use by both internal staff and external clients
Design and deploy security tests to evaluate infrastructure changes using tools such as OpenVas, as well as software changes using tools such as BurpSuite
Design and deploy load and performance tests to evaluate limitations and changes to platform performance using tool such as Apache JMeter
Design and deploy automated test scripts using automation software where appropriate and applicable
Define methodology for tracking metrics, analyse and prepare recurring metrics reports for PMO and senior management
Participate in development of and adherence to compliance controls and policies as related to change management, and risk management
Other duties as required
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical degree
1-3 years of work experience in a similar role, with proven ability to formulate and execute test plans
Ability to analyze and understand problems of a technical nature (specifications, log files, etc.)
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrated high degree of accountability with ability to self-manage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well within a team environment
Any knowledge of the SmartSimple platform is seen as an asset.
